Get Ready for the 2020 Ford Explorer

The first Ford Explorer rolled out of the factory all the way back in 1990, just in time for the 1991 model year. Almost 30 years have passed, and this beloved Ford SUV is still going strong. However, Ford also knows that no matter how good a vehicle is, there's always room for improvement. It's time for another overhaul; the 2020 Ford Explorer is the first of the sixth generation.

So, what's new with the 2020 Ford Explorer, and what makes it so great? Well... practically everything. It has been completely redesigned, both inside and out, and even under the hood. It's more spacious than its predecessor, with extra room for both passengers and cargo. There have been some major changes under the hood. The 2020 Ford Explorer has a standard turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, which delivers 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. For contrast, the 2019 Ford Explorer has a standard 3.5-liter six-cylinder, which generates 290 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque.

The 2020 Ford Explorer has not been released just yet, so you currently won't find any on our lot. However, we at V&H Automotive are counting down the days, and in the meantime, we still have plenty more quality vehicles. Come visit us here in Marshfield, WI, to see them for yourself.
